Clinical Administrative Pharmacist

About the role

MedImpact Healthcare Systems is seeking a Clinical Administrative Pharmacist to support a state Medicaid agency. The role combines deep knowledge of Medicaid pharmacy coverage rules with account and project management to improve clinical quality and cost‑effectiveness of drug therapy.

Key responsibilities

• Provide support for state client prior authorization, appeals, pharmacy lock‑in and audit processes.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual Service Level Agreements for clinical services.
• Lead and coordinate clinical projects, delegating tasks to junior team members as needed.
• Analyze drug utilization data using evidence‑based methods to identify cost‑saving opportunities.
• Collaborate with corporate resources to meet account financial goals and improve performance metrics.

Required profile

• Extensive experience with Medicaid pharmacy coverage and payment rules.
• Proven ability to manage accounts, contracts and clinical projects.
• Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decisions.
• Excellent communication skills to act as subject‑matter expert and team lead.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Medicaid pharmacy regulations.
• Experience with drug utilization review and clinical analytics.
