About the role

The College of Dentistry at Texas A&M University Health Science Center is seeking a Clinic Services Associate for its Oral Surgery department. This on‑site position supports patients and staff in a high‑volume clinical environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide front‑desk customer service, greet and check‑in patients, and answer their questions.
• Schedule appointments and manage patient flow throughout the day.
• Verify insurance eligibility, obtain referrals and pre‑authorizations, and handle billing inquiries.
• Maintain accurate patient records and statistics according to established procedures.
• Assist with general office tasks and support the clinical team as needed.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; combination of education and experience accepted.
• At least two years of experience in a general office or medical office setting.
• Professional demeanor with strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Experience with eCW software for medical records.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Understanding of insurance billing and pre‑authorizations.
• Familiarity with handling medical records.

What we offer

• Hourly wage of $19.56.
• Full‑time schedule: Monday‑Friday, 8 am – 5 pm.
