Clinic Registered Nurse 2 – Full Time

About the role

The University of Miami is seeking a full-time Clinic Registered Nurse 2 to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent environment. The RN will work within a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality, evidence‑based nursing services for a diverse patient population.

Key responsibilities

• Assess assigned patients, document nursing care, and modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders.
• Report changes in patient condition, vital signs, and symptoms promptly.
• Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic test results to guide patient care.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments while considering age and cultural factors.
• Provide psychological support and maintain a compassionate environment.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and comply with regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and team members, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with discharge planning and transition of care using available resources.
• Serve as a preceptor for new staff, offering feedback and guidance.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Active Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
