Client Accounting Tax Analyst

About the role

The Tax Analyst ensures compliance with multi‑state sales, use, and property tax regulations for a diverse commercial real‑estate portfolio. The role supports several U.S. legal entities by managing accurate and timely state and local tax filings, payments, and related reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual sales/use, gross receipts, and property tax returns.
• Maintain tax calendars and filing deadlines to guarantee timely and accurate submissions.
• Research multijurisdictional tax issues, recommend process solutions, and monitor legislative changes.
• Support tax audits, respond to tax notices, and assist with ad‑hoc tax planning projects.
• Implement and maintain organized records and an efficient filing system.
• Lead internal projects, provide data‑driven insights, and drive continuous process improvements.
• Respond to cross‑functional tax inquiries and support special tax function initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2‑3+ years of experience in corporate/commercial real‑estate tax or sales/use tax compliance.
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and data‑analysis abilities.
• Excellent organizational, time‑management, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
