Civil Inspector – Construction Site Inspection

About the role

Baker Construction is seeking a full‑time Civil Inspector to join its team in Cameron, LA. You will be responsible for on‑site inspections, quality control, and ensuring that all construction activities meet industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily site inspections to monitor work progress and compliance.
• Assess materials, workmanship, and construction methods for quality and safety.
• Document inspection findings and generate detailed reports.
• Collaborate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve issues and achieve project objectives.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout all project phases.

Required profile

• Experience in site inspections, quality control, and civil or concrete construction.
• Knowledge of asphalt operations and construction management processes.
• Strong understanding of safety and compliance standards in civil construction.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management or civil engineering preferred.
