Civil Defense Attorney - Casualty (1-4 Years Experience)

About the role

Marshall Dennehey, P.C., an Am Law 200 civil defense firm with more than sixty years of service, is seeking an Associate Attorney for its Melville, New York office. The position suits someone with one to four years of civil litigation experience who wants early responsibility and meaningful exposure on complex cases, working on high-exposure matters for Fortune 500 clients.

Key responsibilities

• Take and defend depositions
• Draft and argue substantive motions
• Litigate matters from inception to resolution under the direction of senior attorneys
• Handle diverse matters such as premises and retail liability, products liability, rideshare liability, construction defects and commercial auto/trucking litigation, many involving catastrophic losses, multiple claimants and fatalities

Required profile

• 1 to 4 years of civil litigation experience
• Strong judgment, organization and strategic thinking
• Interest in long-term career growth within the firm
