Civil Airports Engineer / Project Manager

About the role

SEH is seeking a licensed Civil Airports Engineer to lead the design and delivery of airport infrastructure projects across Austin and surrounding Texas communities. As a member of the employee‑owned firm, you will work on a variety of complex projects that directly impact the safety and efficiency of regional airports.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and oversee detailed design of runways, taxiways, aprons, airport buildings and utility systems.
• Prepare construction plans, specifications, cost estimates and budgets to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Collaborate with Professional Engineers and Project Managers to define project scopes, develop task hour budgets and create schedules.
• Develop fee proposals and manage federal and state grant applications and administration.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety and regulatory compliance throughout all project phases.
• Stay current with the latest FAA design standards and innovative airport design procedures.

Required profile

• Professional Engineer (PE) license in the state of Texas.
• Extensive experience in airport infrastructure design and project management.
• Strong understanding of airport design standards, construction documentation and budgeting.
• Ability to work independently and lead multidisciplinary teams.
