City Manager - Vehicle Rental

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a City Manager (District Manager) in Alcoa, Tennessee. The role leads an assigned district to operational success and financial profitability across operations, marketing, sales, maintenance and risk management, and is a key member of the field operations leadership team. The manager develops and leads corporate location management teams, creates strategies and solutions, grows revenue and profit and is responsible for the assigned field operations locations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and communicate city operating plans that maximize revenue and market share, and monitor performance against them
• Set monthly goals for revenue per unit, revenue, transactions and incremental sales
• Forecast, budget and manage key financial drivers such as revenue, utilization, fleet mix, wage expense and daily dollar average
• Direct the fleet distribution function and oversee maintenance, repair and reconditioning of fleet vehicles
• Evaluate physical inventories to maintain the proper mix and age of lot vehicles
• Work with Corporate Sales and Marketing on sales policy, long-range sales objectives and local marketing plans
• Review capital projects, analyze DOR reports, direct bill payments and process personnel records
• Build relationships with local business organizations and government agencies
• Hire, supervise, train and evaluate staff, and enforce HR policies consistently and fairly

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field (or equivalent education, experience or training)
• Three or more years of operations and sales experience, with at least one year at the supervisory level, preferably in vehicle rental or a related industry
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
