Child Support Services Agent 2

About the role

The Georgia Department of Human Services is seeking a Child Support Services Agent 2 to enforce child support obligations, coordinate with legal and public organizations, and conduct administrative hearings. This position reports to the Fatherhood Supervisor and is based in Decatur, GA.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and enforce child support obligations of responsible parents.
• Coordinate child support activities with legal, judicial, and public organizations.
• Conduct administrative hearings and may serve as lead worker.
• Manage a caseload to ensure obligations are met and communicate with clients via phone, email, and direct contact.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, or high school diploma/GED with two years of related experience.
• One year of experience at the lower-level Child Support Services Agent 1 or equivalent.

Required skills

• Strong communication skills for client and stakeholder interaction.
• Ability to manage caseloads and perform administrative hearings.
