Child Care Acting Associate Center Director

About the role

Join Kids Country as an Acting Associate Center Director, supporting the Center Director in delivering a safe, nurturing environment for children from 6 weeks to 12 years. You will collaborate with teachers, families, and staff to ensure high‑quality early childhood education.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure safety and supervision of children across all age groups.
• Assist the Center Director with licensing compliance and internal policy adherence.
• Manage budgeting elements, including tracking expenses, revenue, and annual goals.
• Substitute for the Center Director during absences and lead staff to maintain a professional work environment.
• Oversee staffing needs, scheduling, and classroom assignments while fostering effective communication with children, parents, and staff.

Required profile

• Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of childcare or teaching experience (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and strong customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Must meet state criteria for child‑care employment.
