Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist - 1099 Contractor (Virtual)

About the role

Lyra Clinical Associates is looking for contract psychiatrists to join its virtual provider network, which includes therapists, physicians and coaches across the US. As a child and adolescent psychiatrist, you will provide evidence-based treatment through live 60-minute video intake appointments and regular follow-ups, conducting psychiatric evaluations and medication management. Patients are referred to evidence-based therapy and coaching services alongside your care.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, formulate accurate diagnoses and create individualized treatment plans tailored to each developmental stage
• Use proven therapeutic techniques and medication management strategies for conditions such as anxiety, depression, ADHD and mood disorders
• Educate families, involve them in care planning and guide them on supportive measures at home
• Deliver virtual psychiatric sessions and keep in regular contact with members and families
• Take part in team meetings, collaborative care planning and consultative support for colleagues
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, care plans and progress notes, using data analytics to improve care quality
• Stay compliant with regulatory and quality standards and keep up with professional development

Required profile

• Board-certified or board-eligible Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with an active license in at least one state
• Demonstrated family engagement skills and experience working with children, adolescents and young adults
• Commitment to culturally responsive care
• Familiarity with JCAHO guidelines and ability to practice within an accredited framework

Required skills

• Telehealth and live video tools (Zoom, Google Meet, DoxyMe, Skype, etc.)
• Video and teletherapy experience preferred but not required
