Chief Medical Officer (CMO) – Global Medical & Clinical Affairs

About the role

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a senior member of the Executive Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and executing the global medical and clinical strategy for kurosbio’s innovative spine and extremities portfolio. The role bridges research, regulatory, commercial and clinical functions to ensure scientific excellence and patient safety.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of global medical and clinical strategies aligned with corporate objectives.
• Oversee design, conduct and reporting of clinical studies, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely delivery.
• Represent the company with physicians, KOLs, regulatory agencies, investors and strategic partners.
• Drive medical affairs activities including scientific communications, advisory boards, medical education and publication planning.
• Partner with commercial teams to create evidence‑based market adoption and reimbursement strategies.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, EMA, GCP and other international regulations while maintaining scientific integrity.

Required profile

• BSc in biological, biomedical or related sciences and an advanced degree (MD, DO or PhD).
• 15+ years of executive leadership experience in Medical Affairs and Clinical Affairs.
• Proven track record of successful interactions with regulatory agencies and product commercialization.
• Deep knowledge of spine surgery, orthopedic medicine, biologics or regenerative technologies.
