Chemical Processing Operator

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Operator to run chemical processing, packaging and material handling equipment in a safety‑driven environment. Reporting to the Production Lead, you will work alongside fellow operators and management to meet production targets while ensuring safe handling of hazardous materials.

Key responsibilities

• Operate chemical processing, packaging and material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
• Participate in the PERT team, handling hazardous waste generation, transport, storage and spill response.
• Perform fire suppression, fire prevention, first‑aid administration and emergency response duties.
• Complete permits and job walk‑downs for maintenance and contractor work (Lockout/Tag‑out, Confined Space Entry, Line Break, etc.).
• Enter near‑miss and incident reports into the SIMS database and support root‑cause investigations.

Required profile

• Technical diploma, associate degree or certification in Chemical Process Technology, Industrial Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Technology or a related field (preferred).
• At least 2 years of relevant manufacturing experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to operate multiple circuits and run more than one unit simultaneously when required.
