Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist – Anesthesiology (UTower Hospital)

About the role

The University of Miami/UHealth UTower Anesthesiology Department is seeking Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) for full‑time and per‑diem positions. CRNAs collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other clinicians to deliver safe and effective anesthesia for a wide range of medical and surgical procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Perform pre‑operative assessments and document anesthesia plans.
• Administer and maintain anesthesia, including local, intravenous, spinal, and other techniques.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia delivery as needed.
• Manage airway and pulmonary status using intubation, mechanical ventilation, and extubation.
• Oversee patient recovery and address immediate post‑operative needs.
• Respond to emergencies with airway management, fluid and drug administration, and advanced life support.
• Document all anesthesia encounters in patient records.

Required profile

• Master’s degree from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia program.
• Current Florida CRNA license.
• Ability to work under the direction of an anesthesiologist.
