Certified Pharmacy Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our pharmacy team. Working under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, you will help ensure safe and efficient prescription processing while delivering a delightful customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information and accurately process prescriptions.
• Assist pharmacists with workflow scheduling, inventory management, and compliance with state, federal, and company policies.
• Operate pharmacy cash registers, handle cash transactions, and assist customers in locating over‑the‑counter products.
• Answer telephone calls that do not require pharmacist intervention, including physician communications.
• Process manual claims for third‑party prescription programs and perform related clerical duties.

Required profile

• PTCB certification (preferred) and ability to work under direct pharmacist supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to reporting prescription errors immediately.
• Customer‑focused attitude with the ability to greet and assist patrons courteously.
• Willingness to follow Walgreens Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.

Required skills

• Basic inventory management procedures.
