About the role

The Certified Pharmacy Technician (PRN) provides distributive pharmacy services under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist at Palestine Regional Medical Center, a 150‑bed acute‑care hospital in Palestine, TX.

Key responsibilities

• Procure, prepare, and distribute medications according to physician orders, pharmacist requests, or established assignments.
• Accurately fill medication carts, surgical kits, floor stock, and emergency drug containers.
• Prepare sterile products, including IV admixtures and chemotherapy, using aseptic technique when certified.
• Deliver medications and supplies to patient care and ancillary areas in a timely manner.
• Assist with ordering, receiving, unpacking, storing, and rotating stock to prevent waste.
• Repackage bulk medications into unit doses per policy.
• Enter medication orders, charges, and credits into the pharmacy computer system.
• Maintain documentation, logs, and reports; support quality‑assurance activities.
• Answer phones courteously and provide support to staff, patients, and visitors.

Required profile

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
