Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Surgical, Full-Time

About the role

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join the Medical‑Surgical unit at the University of Miami Hospital. The position is full‑time, working three 12‑hour shifts covering days, evenings, nights and weekends as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene care including bedpans, showers, backrubs, and shaving.
• Assist with meals, feeding, ambulation, turning, positioning and hydration.
• Administer enemas, douches, non‑sterile dressings, surgical preps, ice/heat packs, therapeutic baths and restraints.
• Perform urine testing, specimen collection and post‑mortem care.
• Respond promptly to call lights, record vital signs, intake/output and report patient conditions to the assigned nurse.
• Transport patients and equipment while maintaining a safe environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Certified Nursing Assistant license.
• 0–1 year of relevant CNA experience (new graduates welcome).
