Certified Nursing Assistant – Long Term Care

About the role

Citizens Health is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide compassionate, basic patient care in its Long Term Care facility in Colby, Kansas. The role supports registered nurses and the Director of Nursing in delivering daily care to geriatric residents.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with personal care tasks such as bathing, toileting, oral hygiene, and linen changes.
• Support patients with mobility, positioning, feeding, and ambulation.
• Help maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment, including cleaning duties.
• Communicate promptly with staff, patients, families, and physicians.
• Document care activities accurately and perform other tasks as requested.

Required profile

• Current CNA certification.
• Current CPR certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to interact tactfully with elderly residents and their families.
• Strong teamwork and professional conduct.

Required skills

• Basic patient care techniques.
• Knowledge of infection control and safety procedures.
