Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) – Full‑Time, Reston, VA

About the role

Advantia Health is seeking full‑scope Certified Nurse Midwives to provide comprehensive obstetric and women’s health care in Reston, VA. The role involves caring for patients throughout pregnancy, labor, postpartum, and well‑woman services.

Key responsibilities

• Provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, well‑woman care and family planning according to protocols and collaborating physician agreements.
• Perform histories, physical exams, order and interpret diagnostics (ultrasound, labs), manage acute and chronic conditions, and maintain accurate medical records.
• Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs, administer medications, and support patients during labor, including high‑risk cases.
• Offer emotional support, guide families through miscarriage, termination, stillbirth, and neonatal death, and maintain active hospital delivery privileges.

Required profile

• Master’s degree or higher in nursing with a midwifery specialization.
• Active RN license and CNM certification by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
• Solid GYN experience and ability to manage patients with conditions such as diabetes and hypertension.

Required skills

• Clinical competency in ultrasound and laboratory test interpretation.
• Medication administration, IV infusion, and emergency obstetric care.
