Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Program Coordinator & Instructor

About the role

The State of Georgia seeks a dedicated professional to lead and teach the Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) Technical Certificate of Credit (TCC) program at Athens Technical College. This position combines program management with hands‑on instruction in simulation labs and classroom settings, supporting the development of future CNA professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire CNA TCC program, including scheduling, curriculum delivery, and evaluation.
• Coordinate in‑facility test dates and ensure compliance with accreditation standards.
• Provide clinical and classroom instruction, utilizing simulation and laboratory environments.
• Implement and assess curriculum, working closely with regulators to maintain full accreditation.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by college leadership.

Required profile

• Current and valid Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum two years of RN experience, with at least one year in a long‑term care (nursing home) setting.
• Completion of a course in adult education or demonstrated experience teaching/supervising nurse aides.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for healthcare providers.
