Certified Home Health Aide

About the role

Monarch Communities is hiring a full-time Certified Home Health Aide in Shrewsbury, reporting to the Health & Wellness Director. The aide assists residents in all aspects of their daily life according to each resident's care plan, covering personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization and activities.

Key responsibilities

• Provide resident care including bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding as outlined in the care plan
• Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity and confidentiality of all residents
• Escort residents to meals and activities
• Ensure assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe and fed during shifts
• Document all services provided to assigned residents during each shift
• Report any change of condition in a resident immediately to the supervisor

Required profile

• HHA certification
• Knowledge and experience working with the elderly population, preferred with dementia experience
• Able to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and support residents intermittently, using proper body mechanics
