CDL‑A Linehaul Truck Driver – Home Daily

About the role

R+L Carriers is seeking experienced CDL‑A Linehaul Drivers for its New Orleans Service Center. You will pull van trailers up to 53' or double trailers between service centers and turn‑point locations, returning home each night.

Key responsibilities

• Operate van trailers (up to 53') and double trailers on linehaul routes.
• Maintain safe driving practices and comply with DOT regulations.
• Complete pre‑employment DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Handle LTL freight and, when qualified, Haz‑mat, tanker, or doubles/triples loads.
• Ensure equipment is operated safely and report any issues promptly.

Required profile

• Valid CDL Class A with at least 1 year of verifiable Class A experience within the past 3 years.
• Good driving record (MVR/PSP) with no serious violations and no more than three moving violations in the past three years.
• Age 23 (or 21 if meeting FMCSA military transition specs).
• Ability to pass a DOT physical, drug screen, and road test.
• Physical ability to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty.
• Dependable and able to operate equipment safely at all times.
• Preferred: endorsements for doubles/triples, tanker, or Haz‑mat; experience hauling Haz‑mat or pulling doubles; any LTL freight experience.

Required skills

• CDL Class A certification.
• Operation of van trailers up to 53' and double trailers.
• Knowledge of DOT safety regulations.
• Physical stamina for loading/unloading tasks.
• Haz‑mat, tanker, or doubles/triples endorsements (preferred).
