Catering Coordinator

About the role

asmglobal is hiring a Catering Coordinator in FC Dallas. The role covers setting up and taking down banquet and event spaces, maintaining equipment and inventory, and supporting food and beverage service and special events. It involves working indoors and outdoors in all seasons, with extended hours and flexible shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Set up meeting rooms and private function areas with tables, chairs, linens, staging and other requested items, according to management standards, floor plans and banquet orders
• Tear down and reset event spaces, inspect banquet equipment for cleanliness and maintenance needs, and clean spaces thoroughly, including changing soiled linens
• Maintain equipment safely, keep service corridors, pre-function areas and storage clean and organized, and organize banquet storage areas
• Create monthly inventory reports for banquet equipment and supplies and organize storage to support accurate tracking
• Take part in special events, including food and beverage service, water pours, coffee service and ice deliveries, and assist waitstaff and operations teams
• Serve as liaison to the stadium conversion team, attend weekly stadium conversion meetings, BEO meetings and pre-conference meetings, and supervise, train and motivate banquet operations staff

Required profile

• At least five years of banquet setup experience in large, high-volume venues
• High School Diploma or GED
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, stretching, pushing and pulling with support equipment
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to adapt to last-minute changes in high-pressure situations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, with the ability to learn additional databases and systems
• Familiarity with MICROS is a plus
