Carpet Technician – Los Angeles

About the role

A carpet cleaning company in Los Angeles is hiring a full-time Carpet Technician. At customer locations provided by the company, you will perform carpet cleaning services while maintaining a high standard of customer service and adding sales performance. No experience is needed; paid training is offered.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional service to all customers, including explaining cleaning procedures and determining their needs.
• Complete customer service schedules on time and keep internal staff informed of your daily schedule.
• Manipulate cleaning equipment from the van into the customer's home and lift equipment weighing about 100 pounds.
• Sell add-on services and products such as fabric guard and upholstery cleaning.
• Drive the company vehicle safely, obey traffic laws, keep a good driving record and maintain the vehicle according to company policy.
• Complete route sheets, daily check-out and check-in procedures, and attend training meetings as required.
• Maintain a clean, neat company uniform, good personal grooming and punctual attendance.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; industry or outside sales experience is helpful but not necessary.
• Self-motivated individual with a driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
• Ability to recognize and fix problems and basic mathematics skills.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing approximately 100 pounds, with walking, standing, stooping, bending and some furniture moving.
