Carpet Technician – Full-Time, Paid Training

About the role

A full-time carpet technician position in San Diego offers paid training and no experience needed. You will provide carpet cleaning services at customer locations arranged by the company, while maintaining a high standard of customer service and adding sales performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide prompt, professional service to all customers, including explaining cleaning procedures and determining their needs.
• Complete customer service schedules on time and keep internal staff informed of your daily schedule.
• Maneuver cleaning equipment from the van into the customer's home and operate the company vehicle safely and lawfully.
• Sell add-on services and products such as fabric guard and upholstery cleaning.
• Maintain the company vehicle and keep route sheets, check-in/check-out records and supporting documents accurate and up to date.
• Follow company safety procedures, attend required training meetings and meet attendance and punctuality standards.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent; industry or outside sales experience is helpful but not necessary.
• Self-motivated individual with a good driving record acceptable to the insurance carrier.
• Ability to recognize and fix problems, basic math skills, and ability to handle lift equipment weighing about 100 pounds.
• Physical demands include walking, standing, stooping, bending and moving furniture, plus operating a company vehicle.
