About the role

The Carpet Floor Care Specialist ensures that Georgetown University’s campuses remain clean, safe, and welcoming for students, staff, and visitors. Working full‑time on a busy campus environment, you will follow a detailed cleaning plan and respond to a variety of routine and emergency situations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general and specific cleaning tasks across 28,000‑35,000 sq ft per shift.
• Execute snow and ice removal, water or fire‑damage cleanup, and support for special events.
• Use standard custodial tools, equipment, and supplies while adhering to all safety regulations.
• Report to a Custodial Supervisor and collaborate with other facilities staff as needed.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and clock‑in/out times.

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team on varied shifts.

• Physical stamina to handle extensive cleaning and occasional emergency tasks.
