Carpenter – Miami Signature Bridge Project

About the role

Archer Western de Moya JV, a member of The Walsh Group, is seeking an experienced carpenter to join the Miami Signature Bridge project in Miami, FL. The role involves constructing, erecting, and installing wood‑based structures for a major infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities

• Measure distances and mark guidelines on work surfaces to prepare for material placement.
• Prepare, build, and install wooden components such as bridge decks, drainage structures, walls, and related elements using prefabricated units.
• Assist with the installation of awnings and metal decking for concrete slabs when required.
• Utilize a carpenter’s belt equipped with hand tools, power tools, and woodworking machinery to complete tasks safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of verifiable carpentry experience, preferably on commercial, industrial, or heavy‑civil projects.
• Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolds or ladders.
• Physical capacity to lift up to 50 lb and work in adverse weather conditions.
• Commitment to safety policies, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn.
• Good manual dexterity; ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for extended periods.
• Pass a pre‑employment drug screening.

Required skills

• Proficiency with carpentry hand tools.
• Experience operating power tools.
• Knowledge of woodworking machines.
• Accurate measuring and marking techniques.
