Caregiver Position (CNA/HCA) – Multiple Openings

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to provide hands‑on patient care in homes, facilities, or adult family homes across Whatcom County. This is a flexible, per‑diem opportunity for those who want to make a difference in patients' lives.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver personalized care, assisting with ADLs such as grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, take vital signs, and perform delegated tasks like weight checks and applying creams.
• Promote skin integrity, prevent pressure ulcers, and ensure proper infection‑control practices.
• Respect patients' dignity, property, and individualized care plans while communicating effectively with residents, families, and staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid CNA or HCA license for Washington State (training can be provided on‑site).
• Good standing with Washington DSHS Background Check System.
• Reliable transportation and, if providing client transport, a valid driver’s license and insurance.

Required skills
