Caregiver (CNA/HCA) – Bellingham, Lynden, Ferndale

About the role

Journey Nursing Services is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) and Home Care Aides (HCA) to provide compassionate, person‑centered care in homes, facilities, and adult family homes across Bellingham, Lynden, and Ferndale. This per‑diem position offers flexible scheduling for short and long shifts.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver hands‑on patient care, including ADLs such as grooming, bathing, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance.
• Monitor and report changes in patient condition, take vital signs, record weights, and apply prescribed creams or ointments.
• Promote skin integrity by repositioning, turning, and using moisturizers to prevent pressure injuries.
• Follow safety and infection‑control protocols, including proper hand hygiene and use of disposable gloves.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• CNA or HCA license for Washington State (training can be provided on‑site).
• Good standing with Washington DSHS Background Check System.
• Reliable transportation and, if providing client transport, a valid driver’s license and insurance.
