Career Consultant (Oklahoma)

About the role

LHH's Career Transition & Mobility team offers a part-time, remote Career Consultant position based in Oklahoma. The consultant provides individualized support and strategies to candidates in transition so they can identify career options and reach a successful outcome, whether through a new position, a career shift, entrepreneurship or active retirement. The role reports to the Lead Consultant and requires living within the stated Oklahoma region.

Key responsibilities

• Help candidates manage change, assess skills and interests, define career goals and identify career options.
• Guide resume and LinkedIn profile development, interview preparation, negotiation and new job assimilation.
• Build a career marketing plan that fits the candidate's experience, interests and job market demand.
• Engage candidates proactively with LHH resources and technology tools, and coach them on interviews and salary negotiations.
• Connect candidates to jobs using LHH tools and resources, including referrals to LHH Recruitment Solutions, LHH Talent Finder and job sites, in line with government requirements.
• Manage time and priorities for program deliverables, candidate reporting, customer projects (sometimes on-site) and LHH training and events.

Required profile

• Preferred 8+ years of professional experience in career consulting, human resources, recruitment, career/leadership development, training, service delivery, management consulting or business leadership.
• Experience across diverse industries such as IT, financial services, pharmaceutical, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, marketing or hospitality.
• Strong knowledge of talent acquisition strategies, ATS systems, applicant sourcing, video screening, salary inquiries and interview types.
• College degree preferred.
• Ability to balance coaching and empathy with strong technology and analytical skills.

Required skills

• LinkedIn, AI tools (ChatGPT), Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and company research databases.
• Zoom, Microsoft Teams, online portals and Microsoft Office Suite.
