Cardiac Sonographer – Full-time in Temple, TX

About the role

The Cardiac Sonographer provides basic to advanced cardiac ultrasound services for adult patients, including transthoracic, transesophageal, and stress studies, to diagnose and assess cardiac abnormalities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients, obtain clinical history, and perform comprehensive echocardiograms using a variety of equipment.
• Identify cardiac abnormalities, adjust imaging techniques as needed, and correlate findings with other diagnostic tests.
• Assist physicians in procedure rooms and operating rooms by performing echocardiographic studies.
• Maintain the Echocardiography Lab, record statistics, and report equipment malfunctions.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program or equivalent experience.
• Less than 1 year of professional experience.
• Current Basic Life Support certification (or obtain within 30 days of hire).
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification at time of hire.

Required skills

• Cardiac ultrasound imaging (transthoracic, transesophageal, stress).
• Operation of echocardiography equipment and measurement techniques.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) proficiency.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and clinical protocols.
