Cardiac Cath Lab Tech / Scrub Registered Nurse RN

About the role

AdventHealth Redmond is hiring a Cardiac Cath Lab Tech / Scrub Registered Nurse RN for a full-time day shift (7:00 am to 4:30 pm) working four days a week with alternating days off. The role maintains and operates equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, keeps them properly set up and sterile, and produces accurate, timely medical records for each patient.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and operate equipment and supplies for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization
• Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately
• Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within scope of practice and regulations
• Produce accurate, timely medical records for each patient
• Train and supervise new personnel, giving orientation and ongoing education
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities and follow radiation safety procedures
• Monitor patients during procedures and report abnormal activity; recommend protocol updates when needed

Required profile

• Associate degree required
• Preferred: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech / Scrub Registered Nurse RN experience
• One of the following licenses or certifications: BLS, RN, RT(R)(ARRT), RCIS, RCES, CVIT, Licensed Paramedic (PARA) or CST
• Conversational reading, writing and speaking of English

Required skills

• ECG training and arrhythmia interpretation
• Cardiovascular and vascular anatomy, hemodynamic monitoring
• Monitoring blood pressure, ECG and pulse oximetry
• Basic computer skills and Microsoft Office
