Capital Planning Manager – UHealth/MSOM

About the role

The University of Miami Health System (UHealth) and the Miller School of Medicine (MSOM) are seeking a Manager to lead capital planning activities. This role ensures effective budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for capital projects across the enterprise.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with senior finance, facilities, treasury, and PMO teams to align capital budgeting and financial reporting.
• Lead analysis of historical, actual, and forecasted capital program results and maintain short‑ and long‑term financial forecasts.
• Develop and enhance executive‑level reports to monitor project performance.
• Identify threats and opportunities, integrating findings into communications with senior management.
• Conduct fixed‑asset depreciation analysis, budgeting, and forecasting in collaboration with operational stakeholders.
• Provide expertise on asset classification, useful lives, and lease‑vs‑buy decisions.
• Assess and improve finance SOPs, driving process enhancements.
• Prepare and present status reports to stakeholders and oversee staff and analysts.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in capital planning, financial analysis, or related finance functions.
• Strong operational management and organizational development capabilities.
