Calibration Engineer

About the role

As a Calibration Engineer in the Engine and Vessel Calibration group, you will support the calibration of new and existing marine engines and vessels, collecting and analysing data to deliver technical solutions that meet quality and timing expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate recommendations through analysis, preparation, and presentation of technical data.
• Develop production calibrations meeting requirements for drivability, performance, noise, vibration, and emissions.
• Execute comprehensive engine test and development plans, coordinating cross‑functional resources.
• Create and improve internal development, validation, and calibration processes to accelerate product release.
• Apply DFSS methods for root‑cause failure determination and corrective actions.
• Provide technical consultation to engineering teams to resolve manufacturing, supplier, or field issues.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in engine or vehicle calibration.
• Basic understanding of engine control or vehicle control software and internal combustion engines.
• Ability to travel domestically 8–10 weeks per year for calibration development.

Required skills

• Simulink (or equivalent) for engine and control system modeling.
• MATLAB or Python for data analysis.
• Design of Experiments creation and regression analysis.
• DAQ setup, programming, and troubleshooting.
• DFSS methodology for root‑cause analysis.
