Cafeteria Worker (Full Time)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking a full‑time Cafeteria Worker to support food service operations at the UHealth Tower. You will help prepare, serve, and maintain a clean, safe dining environment for patients, families, and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and set tables, wash dishes, and maintain dining areas.
• Replenish clean linens, silverware, glassware, and dishes.
• Prepare salads, sauces, desserts, and other food items following guidelines.
• Operate the cash register, compute bills, and issue receipts.
• Wash pots, pans, utensils, and cooking equipment.
• Stock snack and soda machines and other retail items.
• Keep work and storage areas organized and sanitary.
• Follow University policies, CICARE and ACT standards for patient‑centric interactions.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of relevant food‑service experience.
• Ability to work evenings, nights, and weekends as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks under pressure.
• Commitment to University core values and ability to handle confidential information.
