About the role
The Cadre Worker supports the Georgia Youth Challenge Academy at Fort Gordon, providing mentorship and supervision to at‑risk youth in a structured, quasi‑military environment. The role can be full‑time or part‑time and involves ensuring a safe, disciplined, and educational setting for cadets.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and train youth in physical training, character development, and general education.
- Assist in monitoring, disciplining, and supervising cadets throughout the 22‑week residential phase.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and secure environment for all participants.
- Serve as a role model and mentor, demonstrating program standards and expectations.
Required profile
- Compliance with Army grooming regulations (AR 670‑1) and ability to obtain religious or medical accommodation waivers if needed.
- Willingness to work in a quasi‑military setting with structured schedules.
- Commitment to mentor at‑risk youth aged 16‑18 and support their personal development.
