C++ Software Engineer – Trading Platform (NYC)

About the role

We are looking for a talented C++ Software Engineer to join our Finance engineering team in New York. You will work on a high‑performance trading platform, collaborating with traders, quantitative researchers, and IT infrastructure teams.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain C++ applications for trading, implementing new features and algorithms.
• Interact with traders and quantitative researchers to translate ideas into functional code.
• Monitor platform stability, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with IT Infra, Operations, and compliance teams to maintain servers, network connectivity, and back‑office integrations.
• Automate processes to reduce manual interventions and improve reliability.

Required profile

• 3‑10 years of object‑oriented programming experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills, especially under pressure.
• Excellent oral communication abilities.

Required skills

• 5+ years of C++ development (C++17 or C++20).
• Proficiency with Linux operating systems.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP and multicast network protocols.
• Experience with SQL and Oracle PL/SQL.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, csh, and bash.
