About the role
The Buyer in the Global Procurement Center supports daily purchasing operations to guarantee material availability that matches business demand. Working closely with supply planning, production scheduling, and sourcing teams, you will act as the primary liaison with suppliers to keep the supply chain flowing smoothly.
Key responsibilities
- Execute purchasing transactions for assigned materials, ensuring alignment with supply plans.
- Place and manage purchase orders according to agreements, quantities, and timelines.
- Maintain accurate master data, including supplier lead times, product details, and replenishment parameters.
- Communicate forecast and demand changes to suppliers on a regular cadence.
- Monitor supplier performance using metrics such as on‑time delivery and lead‑time adherence.
- Serve as the main contact for suppliers to adjust short‑term requirements and resolve delivery issues.
- Prepare weekly reports on purchasing activities, supply risks, and performance tracking.
- Support continuous‑improvement initiatives within purchasing processes and supplier interactions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, purchasing, or manufacturing.
- Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Required skills
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDE, AS400).
- Knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) processes.
- Advanced Excel or data‑analysis capabilities.
