Business Technology Part-time Instructor

About the role

Columbus Technical College seeks a part‑time adjunct instructor for its Business Technology program. The role involves preparing lesson plans, delivering classroom, evening, night and online instruction, and supporting student recruitment and retention across multiple counties.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver effective individualized instruction and ensure compliance with technical college safety and classroom procedures.
• Select and obtain appropriate educational materials, maintain consistency in syllabi, lesson plans, tests, and other coursework.
• Monitor and maintain supplies, equipment, and facilities for the assigned program.
• Assist with recruiting, marketing, registration, orientation, and participation in curriculum development committees.
• Support special events, projects, and activities as requested.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business, Information Technology, Instructional Design, or a related field, or a Master’s with a concentration meeting graduate credit requirements.
• Current Microsoft Office Suite (MOS) certification or willingness to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
