Spanish Tutor – In‑Person

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors of Greater Columbus seeks an experienced Spanish Tutor to provide one‑on‑one instruction in students’ homes across the Columbus area. The role focuses on K‑12 learners, helping them develop speaking, listening, reading, writing, and overall language confidence.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, personalized Spanish lessons to K‑12 students in their homes.
• Support language development across speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
• Assist with homework, projects, exam preparation, and standardized Spanish assessments.
• Adapt instructional strategies to each student’s proficiency level and learning style.
• Monitor progress, communicate updates to families, and maintain a professional in‑home learning environment.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher.
• Valid Ohio teaching license/certificate or equivalent credential, preferably with a Spanish or World Languages endorsement.
• Demonstrated classroom teaching experience and strong Spanish proficiency.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel throughout Columbus, Ohio.
• Authorization to work in the United States.
