Business Support Analyst 2 – Central Office (Decatur, GA)

About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Business Support Analyst 2 to provide HR guidance and operational support to secure facilities in Decatur. Working under limited supervision, you will act as a key resource for local HR personnel, ensuring their needs are met and facilitating training and development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for facility‑level HR staff, answering queries and coordinating training.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to design and implement HR strategies that promote a productive workplace.
• Deliver administrative and operational support to secure facilities, maintaining efficient workflow.
• Maintain relationships with Office of Human Resources recruitment partners to fill vacancies with qualified candidates.
• Participate as an interview panelist for HR positions in secure locations.
• Develop training plans for HR staff and attend weekly HR meetings.
• Generate and analyze reports for department managers to support strategic decisions.
• Travel statewide as needed to support departmental initiatives.

Required profile

• Associate degree in business or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience, or one year at the lower‑level Business Support Analyst 1.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
