Business Insurance Senior Account Manager

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Business Insurance Senior Account Manager for its Kennesaw, Georgia office. Applicants must live within driving distance of the office and be able to commute at least three days per week. The role covers building client and carrier relationships, managing renewals, leading a small client service team and cross-selling.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain key client and carrier relationships by phone, email and in person.
• Execute a client service plan for each account covering business needs and risk management goals.
• Lead the client service team on administration, billing, claims issues and problem solving.
• Coordinate internal and external activities so new and renewal accounts are handled accurately and on time.
• Seek cross-sell opportunities and suggest new lines of coverage.
• Manage the renewal process, coordinate meetings with clients and producers, and lead marketing of smaller, less complex accounts.
• Prepare and deliver policy forms to clients and help producers present options.
• Mentor team members and perform other duties requested by management.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and related training.
• Five years of relevant insurance industry experience.
• Appropriate insurance license(s).
• Strong client relations, communication and service skills, and leadership ability.
• Ability to travel occasionally, including overnight.

Required skills

• Proficiency in basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficiency in client management systems, including updating policies, logging activities and tracking follow-ups.
