Business Insurance Sales Consultant

About the role

Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA) is hiring a Sales Consultant for its Business Insurance team in Hunt Valley. MMA provides business insurance, employee health and benefits, retirement and private client insurance solutions to organizations and individuals, combining the personalized service of a local consultant with the resources of Marsh McLennan. The role is regular and salaried, with a base salary range of $50,000 to $100,000 depending on experience, skills, location and other factors, and may include performance-based incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a comprehensive prospecting plan, including targets and methodology for turning prospects into clients
• Network with centres of influence to build new opportunities
• Present MMA's value proposition for each opportunity and align the Agency's resources and capabilities
• Leverage referrals and targeted introductions from clients, prospects and business relationships

Required profile

• High school diploma
• Prior B2B sales experience with consultative sales skills
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. permanently, without current or future sponsorship
• Additional qualifications that are a plus: bachelor's degree or higher with a specialization in Risk Management, insurance industry experience, ability to engage and present with the C-suite, proven track record in new client development and retention, competitiveness in a collaborative sales environment
