About the role

Ready to grow the future of a leading vertical market? Hubbell is seeking a Business Development Manager to lead growth in the Renewable Energy market across the North Central United States. You will drive strategic partnerships with project owners, contractors, integrators and EPC firms, influencing product specifications and opening new market opportunities.

Key responsibilities

  • Establish and strengthen partnerships with top‑tier owners, engineering firms and EPCs in the North Central region.
  • Cultivate relationships with key customers, understand their needs and ensure satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product development and other teams to align strategies and improve sales processes.
  • Develop and manage sales budgets, forecast projections and control expenses to optimize profitability.
  • Monitor industry trends, market conditions and competitor activities to identify opportunities or threats.
  • Maintain deep knowledge of renewable market trends and technologies.
  • Support field sales with technical expertise, product training and demonstrations.
  • Track key projects from inception to completion using Salesforce and Power BI.
  • Represent Hubbell at major trade shows and conferences such as Intersolar, CleanPower, RE+ and regional events.
  • Work with owners/developers and engineering firms to secure Hubbell product specifications in new designs.
  • Plan and execute strategic contractor events, regional meetings and industry trade shows.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Communications or related field (preferred).
  • Experience in electrical or renewable markets.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time‑management, organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Self‑motivated, team‑oriented and results‑driven.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 50 %.
