Business Development Manager – Protein Systems

About the role

AMCO Proteins is seeking a Business Development Manager to expand sales of its functional and nutritional protein systems across food, beverage, and nutrition markets. This consultative, technical sales position works closely with customers' R&D, procurement, and innovation teams to solve formulation challenges and build long‑term supply partnerships.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities for protein systems.
• Build and manage a sales pipeline from prospecting through commercialization and account growth.
• Partner with customers' technical teams to address formulation challenges and deliver value‑added ingredient solutions.
• Collaborate internally with technical, operations, and supply‑chain teams on new product development.
• Lead pricing discussions, negotiate supply agreements, and secure volume commitments.
• Represent AMCO Proteins at trade shows, conferences, and customer events.
• Monitor market intelligence on pricing, competition, trends, and emerging applications.
• Develop strategic relationships with key decision‑makers to drive sustainable growth.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of B2B sales or business development experience in food, nutritional ingredients, or dairy proteins.
• Working knowledge of protein functionality and applications.
• Proven track record of closing new business and growing accounts using a consultative approach.
• Willingness to travel up to 40 % of the time.
• Existing network in food, beverage, or nutrition manufacturing is a strong plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in food science, business, or a related field preferred.
