Business Development Manager

About the role

We are seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth of our warehousing, cross‑dock and transload services. This hybrid position is based in Philadelphia, PA, with the flexibility to work remotely part of the week.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities in warehousing, cross‑dock and transload.
• Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through outbound calls, emails, networking and industry events.
• Lead discovery discussions to understand client supply‑chain needs and collaborate with internal teams to create tailored proposals, pricing and presentations.
• Manage the end‑to‑end sales cycle, including RFP responses, contract negotiations and handoff to implementation teams.
• Monitor market trends, track performance metrics in the CRM, and prepare forecasts and reports.
• Maintain long‑term relationships with key accounts to support retention and growth.

Required profile

• Proven experience in business development, sales or account management within logistics, warehousing or supply‑chain services.
• Strong prospecting, pipeline management and B2B deal‑closing skills.
• Ability to communicate supply‑chain engineering and optimization concepts to clients.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and basic data analysis for forecasting and reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation and proposal development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Marketing or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Willingness to travel regionally for client meetings, site visits and events.
• Commitment to inclusive teamwork and continuous improvement.
