Business Development Manager - Gaming Partnerships

About the role

Tencent Games, founded in 2003, is a global platform for game development, operations and publishing and the largest online game community in China, with over 140 games and more than 800 million users. This Business Development Manager role is based in Palo Alto, California, and focuses on building relationships with major gaming partners in the US market to support Tencent's global expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Spearhead the development of strong relationships with major gaming partners in the US market.
• Work with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders to drive business insights and key objectives, including go-to-market plans and support for games at every stage of their lifecycle.
• Identify new business opportunities and emerging trends, using market insights and data analytics to evaluate proposals on distribution, growth, product and monetization strategies and technology.
• Lead negotiations and execute partnership and licensing agreements with gaming partners, aligned with Tencent's strategic goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• 5+ years of business development experience or in a gaming-related field.
• Passionate, committed, self-starter with initiative, energy, ownership and a willingness to learn from global colleagues.
• Team player with strong written and oral communication skills, comfortable with ambiguity and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English; fluency in Mandarin Chinese is highly preferred.

What we offer

• Expected base pay of $118,600 to $223,100 per year, depending on knowledge, skills and experience.
• Possible sign-on payment, relocation package and restricted stock units, assessed case by case.
