Business Development Manager - BDC

About the role

Victory Automotive Group, a family-owned dealer group with more than 50 locations across the United States, is looking for an experienced, motivated and energetic Business Development Manager to run its BDC department in Albany, California. The manager grows the business by responding to leads and building relationships that promote sales, and manages the team that handles most follow-up, internet leads and inbound calls.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of the department, including internet leads, inbound phone calls and customer retention
• Hire, train and monitor the team's performance
• Develop sales forecasts and associated sales strategies
• Promote the dealership online through social media
• Help sales staff manage deals from start to finish
• Respond to new leads and follow up with unsold customers to maximise selling opportunities
• Maintain a follow-up system for sold customers to encourage repeat and referral business
• Provide timely and accurate reports on sales activity

Required profile

• Experience in a large-volume dealership
• Some supervisory or management experience
• Strong sales aptitude, communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly professional and dependable

Required skills

• Automotive BDC management and internet management experience
• Supervising and managing staff
• Strong computer and internet skills
• Basic knowledge of CRM systems, lead providers and website backend tools preferred
