Business Development Lead

About the role

As a Business Development Lead at Sierra, you will drive the creation and growth of strategic partnerships that expand the reach of our AI‑powered customer‑facing platform. You will work closely with product, sales and marketing teams to turn ecosystem opportunities into measurable business impact.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, source and close high‑impact partnerships with industry leaders and technology platforms.
• Own the full partnership lifecycle: discovery, deal structuring, negotiation and ongoing relationship management.
• Develop and experiment with new distribution channels and alliance models beyond direct sales.
• Leverage Sierra’s investor and influencer network to generate inbound interest and introductions.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to integrate partners into go‑to‑market motions and support joint initiatives.
• Gather partner and customer insights to inform product and market strategy, and explore new industries and geographies.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in business development, partnerships or related roles within the tech sector.
• Proven track record of sourcing, structuring and closing complex, high‑value partnerships.
• Comfort interacting with senior executives and decision‑makers.
• Analytical, execution‑oriented mindset with the ability to assess opportunities independently.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity and operate autonomously in a fast‑moving startup environment.
