Business Development Executive

About the role

Avis Budget Group is hiring a Business Development Executive to grow profitable car rental and truck rental revenue in a defined geographic territory. The role maintains and grows a mid-market car and commercial truck portfolio and supports the group's small business commercial car portfolio, working with the Territory Performance and District Manager to guide independent operators and truck dealers.

Key responsibilities

• Develop knowledge of Avis, Budget and Budget Truck products and services
• Build and maintain referral relationships and attend trade shows, chamber of commerce events and local activities
• Deliver presentations, proposals and business reviews to customers and management
• Negotiate rates and contract terms and close deals
• Maintain account files, reports and proposals/bids in Salesforce.com
• Work with Sales and Operations teams on marketing trends and sales best practices

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 5 years of successful outside sales or account management using direct sales techniques
• Strong research, prospecting, lead generation and negotiation skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication, planning and organization skills
• Integrity, teamwork and collaboration with peers and senior leadership

The annual starting salary is $70,000-$80,000, with target earnings of $100,000-$110,000 depending on geography, skills, education and experience.
